Well, I kinda left you hanging on Inglourious Basterds. But yeah, I saw it on opening weekend, and I liked it a good deal. I've been around the bend on just how much I like it - in fact, I just told someone the other day that it was somewhat overrated. But now I can't wait to see it again.
One thing is sure: there is no other contemporary filmmaker who is analyzed - and overanalyzed - than Tarantino. And I have to say, it's a blast to have a new Tarantino film just to read all of the commentary.
In that spirit, here is a lengthy discussion between Jason Bellamy and Ed Howard over at The House Next Door. Part I of the discussion covers Tarantino's films through Death Proof, with a Part II slated to focus on Basterds.
UPDATE: Part II is now available here.
UPDATE II: BTW, I finally had a chance to read Part II of this discussion last night, and I can tell you that Bellamy and Howard's conversation is not only the best analysis of Basterds that I've read, but probably one of the best film analyses I've read EVER. Well worth your time.
