Well, my friend Jody called me out for not raving about the Justin Townes Earle show this past weekend at The Mucky Duck. I'll get around to it, I promise. One of the rave-worthy aspects of the show was opener Amy LaVere, who I am embarrassed to admit I'd never heard of. But she is crazy-good, as is the album Jody bought me called Anchors & Anvils (produced by the great Jim Dickinson).
One of the best tracks on the album is "Killing Him," which is performed at the legendary Sun Studios below...
