Good to see you back online!

Can't wait for this weekend. Looking forward to the dork fest and the pilgrimage to C.F. Martin & Co. I'm expecting nothing less than a near religious experience on both fronts. Given your current summertime obsession, I hope you've prepared the missus for the new guitar that will be traveling back to Houston with you...

Hehe, yeah but the visit to the Martin Guitar factory will be pretty awesome even without a press pass

Cheers, Adam Summers

I assume Plant and Co did "Angel Dance"? I just heard of it a couple days ago, apparently the first single from the new record. An excellent Los Lobos tune, in my opinion, so I am looking forward to the full release. If memory serves, T-Bone Burnett produced an early Los Lobos disc or two, so I imagine he suggested the song to Plant.

You write of listening to SRV, Clapton, Hendrix and The Allmans as if it were something to be ashamed of. What's up with that? All of them are the cornerstones of blues rock. Does that genre somehow have less credibility than folky singer songwriter stuff? I guess in some circles that may be true, but I find that sad. I say having an appreciation for those bands indicates that you have good taste.
