This whole album is REALLY good-- lots of smokin' hot, knotty guitar work from Marc Ribot, but of course the real star is Jolie, who sings and writes better than ever. It's not quite the "rock album" the press release hinted at-- the song you link to here rocks harder than anything else on the CD, I think-- but there are some really inspired and convincing stabs at Neil Young-style guitar rock here, as well as lots of other surprises.

I'm looking forward to it. Springtime Can Kill You is sort of a sleeper favorite of mine, and Whitman already listed the new one on his Best of '08.
